For The Charity "GEARING UP FOR GORILLAS"

We at Maushaus were asked for our help to support the Charity "Gearing Up For Gorillas" in the hope that we might have an old pair of binoculars knocking about somewhere, we were more than happy to oblige, and have basically decided that our mission in the coming months is to get the 400 pairs they need to help the rangers do their work.

Please take a look at their website and see if you might be able to help in some way, money is useful, but the items on the list which are things you may not need anymore will be so useful to them, if you can please send your items to Linda Nunn at the address below.

Gearing Up For Gorillas seeks to provide equipment to The Park Rangers who protect the wildlife in the Virunga National Park (covering parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Uganda an area of 8,000 square kilometers) from poaching, illegal mining and the bushmeat trade.

The 400 Rangers need various bits of equipment to help them do their very difficult jobs but Maushaus and it's customers will be helping to get them the binoculars they all need.

QUALITY
Providing the Prisms are still working the Rangers won't mind what the outside looks like, small to medium size binoculars are best as the Rangers are largely on foot patrol but they won't turn down your 7x50 Zeiss Uboat binos either!!!
All functioning makes and models will be used.
Every single pair will help and will go out to the Congo.

TARGET
Our target is 400 pairs but i am sure that we can get a long way towards this with your help and support.
